Limits & Fair Use

Todoodah has a few limits in place to keep the service fast and reliable for everyone. Free accounts get generous limits, and the Pro plan raises them.

The Pro plan

Pro runs for a year at a time. Your current plan is shown in account settings — Pro accounts see their expiry date there. When Pro ends, the free limits apply again: you keep everything you made, but lists beyond the free limit can be disabled until you remove some lists or renew. Disabled lists appear greyed out in the list switcher; you can still delete them to free up slots.

On a shared list, the todo limit follows the list owner's plan — everyone collaborating on a Pro user's list gets the higher todo limit.

What happens at the limit?

Lists

When you reach your plan's list limit, creating a new list shows a dialog explaining the limit. Delete an existing list or ask the owner to remove you from a shared list to free up a slot.

Shared lists

You can share one list at a time. To share a different list, unshare your current shared list first.

Todos

When a list reaches its active todo limit, you cannot add more until you complete, delete, or move some to another list. Completed todos do not count toward this limit.

Members

A shared list can have up to 10 members, including the owner. If you need more people to see the list, use a public share link for read-only access — there is no limit on how many people can view a share link.

Fair use

These limits are generous for personal and small-team use. If you have a use case that requires higher limits, reach out and let us know.
