When all todos in a list are completed or the list is empty, Todoodah shows an empty state. You can choose what appears in this moment.

Empty state options

Random quote

A randomly selected quote from a collection of 54 quotes. Quotes are displayed in full-screen, centered, using the Fraunces italic typeface for a warm, expressive feel. A new quote is shown each time you switch lists or complete your last todo.

Nothing

A completely blank screen. For those who prefer zero visual clutter.

When quotes rotate

The random quote changes in two situations:

• When you switch to a different list that is empty
• When you complete the last active todo in a list

This means you see a fresh quote each time you clear a list, providing a small moment of delight.

Changing your preference

You can switch between these empty state options in your account settings. The preference is saved to your profile.
