A todo app with heart
Todoodah is made with love in the Netherlands, for people everywhere. Built by Ofnof with care and a stubborn focus on the things that matter: how it looks, how it feels, and how fast it gets out of your way.
Where it started
For years, our go-to grocery list app was ShopShop — a tiny, brilliant iOS app that just worked. It's no longer maintained, but we kept using it because nothing else felt as simple. We also fell in love with Clear, an app that proved a todo list could be genuinely beautiful.
But we needed something that worked across devices. And we wanted our kids to be able to add things to the shopping list from their own phones — because apparently we always forget the chips and ice cream.
So we built Todoodah: the simplicity of ShopShop, the beauty of Clear, and the ability to share lists with the people who matter.
Why "Todoodah"?
We asked an AI to help us find a domain name. The brief was simple: "Help me find a domain name for a todo application. Cheerful and fun." One of the suggestions was Todoodah — a play on "zip-a-dee-doo-dah" with "todo" hiding in plain sight. It made us smile, and that felt right for what we were building.
What we care about
Todoodah will never be the app that has every feature. That's by design. We care about:
- User experience — every interaction should feel natural and satisfying
- Design — a todo app can be beautiful, and we think it should be
- Speed — the app should be faster than your thoughts
- Simplicity — if a feature adds complexity without clear value, it doesn't belong here
New features are experimented on, tested, and refined before they make it in. We'd rather do a few things really well than do everything poorly.
