Completing Todos
Todoodah gives you multiple ways to mark todos as done, so you can use whichever feels most natural.
Swipe right
On touch devices, swipe a todo to the right. A green highlight appears as you swipe, and a checkmark icon becomes visible once you've swiped far enough. Release to complete the todo. You'll feel a haptic vibration when you've reached the point of no return.
Tap the checkbox
Each todo has a checkbox on the left side. Tap or click it to instantly mark the todo as complete.
Keyboard
Navigate to a todo with the arrow keys and press Space to toggle its completion. See keyboard shortcuts for more.
Use the menu
Tap the todo menu and select Complete. This is useful when you want to be precise about which action you are taking.
Squiggly strikethrough
Completed todos are marked with a hand-drawn squiggly strikethrough instead of a plain line. Each todo gets its own unique squiggle pattern, giving your completed items a playful, organic feel.
The completed section
Completed todos move to a collapsible section at the bottom of your list. The section header shows a count of how many items have been completed. Tap it to expand or collapse the section.
Clearing completed todos
The completed section includes a Clear all button that permanently removes every completed todo from the list. Each item plays a brief animation as it disappears. This action cannot be undone.
Reinstating a completed todo
Changed your mind? You can bring a completed todo back to the active section:
- Swipe it right again
- Use the three-dot menu and select the reinstate option
- Drag it from the completed section back into the active section
The todo returns to its original position or the top of the active list.
